Tommie works on the majority of the horses here at Ashtree Sport Horses, not only our own but also the liveries across the site. Tommie started shoeing for us in 2017. He has become and invaluable, experienced member of the team. Ensuring that our horses are competition ready. Tommie prides himself on both the welfare and performance, through specific care and recommendations.
Chris has been an asset to Ashtree Sports Horses for over 18 months, whether he is shooting professional shots out at shows or he is photographing fun days at the yard for the liveries. Chris' calm and helpful manner is always welcome in the hustle and bustle of Eventing. Chris has accompanied us to many events to capture the live action shots and the quality of work is fantastic. Chris has the ability to organise multiple shoots during the same event, not only giving a varied choice of photos but really capturing the moment in a long lasting memory.
TORI ANSTEY EQUINE THERAPY
We have worked with the incredible Tori on and off (which she had a maternity break) for around 9 years now and followed each other around the country. She is so kind and quiet with the horses, they instantly feel at ease with her which makes treating them all the easier! Tori is qualified in Bowen therapy, Sports Massage, McTimoney-Corley and Photizo Ligh Therapy making Tori a vital part of keeping the horses happy and healthy.
Amongst treating both our horses and our liveries horses, Tori also works her magic on humans, making sure that everyone is supple!
Iain our osteopath has been treating the human and equine members of our team for around 7 years. Iain comes to check we are all lined up correctly every 6 months or before any big events. Iain treats a range of horses from famous owners and trainers to sport, club and leisure horses and ponies. Iain travels widely across the UK and also internationally where required. With an incredible eye for the tiniest niggle, we can not talk highly enough of him!
TOM SIDDAL DENTISTRY
Jess has known Tom for around 10 years after they met when Jess was working at Noel Chance and Tom was one of his jockeys. After a neck injury in the Grand National, Tom Siddal has successfully used injury time to train in horse dentistry. Tom has checked all our horses teeth regularly for around 5 years. With a wealth of equine knowledge Tom is very good at getting the horses settled into the job at hand.
HAWKINS EQUESTRIAN LTD
Mark took over our feed supply in 2019 and it was the best decision we made! He is reliable, competitively priced and has a wealth of knowledge with over 30 years experiencing. Our feed orders are always on time and he gives us the most up to date information.
Robert has been providing us with top quality straw for nearly 2 years now. He is always happy, reliable and competitively priced. We are very grateful he is willing to supply us.
ONLEY EQUINE VETS
Onley & Towcester Equine Vets have been our practice of choice since we moved to Ashtree in 2013. Having med Andy and Mike regularly at the Milton Keynes three day before moving location, it was an obvious choice and one we have been more than happy with. Onley practice has a range of facilities such as the spacious examination room, secure stocks, radiography room, stabling for patients, trot up, soft and hard lungeing areas and a veterinary shop.
RICHARD & MANDY MOODY
ASHTREE SPORT HORSES
Lastly, but by no means least are my parents, Richard and Mandy Moody.
Dad has an incredible ability to turn his hand to anything, he built our amazing 50m x 30m arena, he is currently well on the way in building out house and horsebox. He builds jumps and courses to keep us one step ahead with the horses training. As well as doing the 'handyman' jobs around the yard such as field mowing, repairs etc. If anything needs fixing, he is usually our first port of call!
Mum ran a riding school for more years than I can remember. She is more hands on with the horses than dad, helping with mucking out, feeding, tack cleaning and tries to come to everyone one of my events. Mandy is also fantastic support for the liveries on the yard often giving advice and guidance.
Nick and I will be forever grateful for their help and support in making Ashtree Sport Horses what it has become.
